We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering the opportunity to play a key role in managing accounting operations and supporting organizational transitions. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and lead comprehensive month-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting through journal entries, reconciliations, and checklists
Develop and maintain accounting workpapers that support integration efforts and align with existing trial balance structures
Collaborate with the Director of Accounting to manage and optimize accounting responsibilities
Provide hands-on support for critical accounting activities during organizational transitions and integrations
Conduct detailed analysis to identify process improvements within the accounting department
Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls and corporate policies
Facilitate the accurate migration of accounting processes into the systems of the parent company
Prepare and review account reconciliations and audit support schedules as required
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for financial analysis and reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including expertise in month-end close procedures and journal entry preparation
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is highly preferred
Proven ability to develop and manage detailed accounting workpapers and schedules
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Effective communication skills to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Adaptability and proactive problem-solving abilities to excel in fast-paced environments
