Rapid7 is looking to recruit an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the accounting of our Corporate and North America subsidiaries, as well as play a pivotal role in supporting the Americas Accounting Controller to scale and implement best-in-class operational processes to maximize the efficiency of the general ledger accounting team.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the monthly close process across the Corporate and North America subsidiaries ensuring compliance with US GAAP as well as Sarbanes-Oxley
Review and ensure completion of the Corporate and North America subsidiaries general ledger activities, including the month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, ad-hoc analyses, and variance analysis, while adhering to tight deadlines
Preparation of technical accounting areas such as leases, cloud computing arrangements, hedging, corporate accruals, and complex estimates
Proactively identify complex accounting items and facilitate cross-functional alignment with the technical accounting team to determine appropriate treatment in accordance with US GAAP
Ensure compliance with internal controls related to financial close
ensure internal control narratives, flowcharts and control matrices remain current with the company’s current practices and operations
Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability of the corporate close process
Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors for consolidated accounting and corporate close areas
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
Requirements:
A BS degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA preferred
Minimum of five years of accounting experience (public company experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
High energy with a sense of urgency and ability to multitask
Keen sense of process management and ability to drive process change and improvement
Demonstrate ability to design, manage and administer sophisticated best practice financial systems a plus
Proficient with NetSuite, Concur, Coupa and ADP a plus
Demonstrate ability to build and sustain critical partnerships with staff and operating management
