Job Description

This role will oversee key accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and oversight of outsourced accounting providers. The position offers strong visibility to finance leadership and the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-performing environment within the investment management industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the general ledger and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Ensure proper expense allocations across entities, funds, and cost centers
  • Oversee outsourced accounting and accounts payable processes
  • Review invoices, coding, and payment batches for accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Partner with finance leadership on process improvements and special projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close
  • Experience working with or overseeing outsourced accounting providers
  • Background in venture capital, private equity, asset management, or professional services preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
