Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager who thrives in complexity, loves building structure, and knows how to turn operational chaos into clean, accurate, reliable financials. If you’re the kind of accounting leader who rolls up your sleeves, digs into the details, and still sees the big picture, this is your moment. This role will guide day‑to‑day accounting activity, elevate internal controls, and partner with operations to ensure every branch, every transaction, and every dollar is accounted for with precision. As the company scales, you’ll help modernize processes, strengthen discipline, and build a finance function that can grow right alongside the business.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the full accounting ecosystem — from the general ledger to A/R, A/P, billing, inventory activity, and revenue flow
Keep our financial foundation rock‑solid through disciplined reconciliations and airtight documentation
Ensure equipment and fixed‑asset activity is captured accurately, from capitalization to depreciation
Work hand‑in‑hand with operations to sharpen inventory controls, refine cycle count practices, and strengthen reserve strategies
Champion accurate branch‑level reporting so leadership has a clear, trustworthy view of performance across service, parts, and equipment
Uphold GAAP standards and internal controls while preparing the organization for audits and regulatory requirements
Navigate multi‑state tax obligations with confidence — including sales & use, excise, and property‑related filings
Serve as a trusted partner to auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams
Lead, mentor, and elevate accounting staff while building consistency across locations
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, accelerate close timelines, and enhance reporting quality
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as a key contributor to the finance leadership team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
CPA preferred (but not required)
10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong command of Advanced Excel — large datasets, pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas
Background in inventory‑heavy, service‑based, dealer, or distribution environments
Proven experience managing multi‑location or multi‑entity accounting
Solid understanding of multi‑state tax compliance
A hands‑on approach and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical judgment
Ability to translate operational activity into clean, accurate financial reporting
Leadership experience overseeing A/P and A/R functions
