We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for a contract position in Seattle, Washington. This role involves managing accounting operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations during a contract engagement lasting approximately two months, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and expertise in government finance.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee accounting operations and maintain compliance with government regulations and standards
  • Manage lease accounting and agreements, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to GASB standards
  • Prepare and review financial statements in alignment with government audit requirements
  • Collaborate with federal and local government agencies to address financial matters effectively
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manage financial data
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of financial transactions
  • Provide guidance on government programs and regulations impacting financial operations
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure financial processes align with regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Expertise in GASB standards and government financial regulations
  • Proficiency in lease accounting and managing lease agreements
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Strong familiarity with federal government programs and operations
  • Experience in conducting government audits and preparing financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings to executives
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies and stakeholders
