Job Description:

Oak Street Health, now a subsidiary of CVS Health, is a rapidly growing public company of primary care centers for adults on Medicare in underserved communities. The role of Accounting Manager is an exciting opportunity to join the accounting team and combine technical accounting expertise with strategic improvements. Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, supporting month-end close, developing processes, and supervising staff, among others.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Support month-end close by reviewing journal entries and supporting documents, and providing internal reporting and analysis to management
Assist in quarterly and year-end reporting to Oak Street Health and CVS management
Review account reconciliations and other analyses to ensure complete and accurate accounting
Support Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 compliance on internal controls over financial reporting for key processes
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives, such as responding to inquiries from FP&A and providing requested documents to tax professionals and auditors
Perform other ad hoc accounting duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (WorkDay Finance and SAP S4, preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Past experience as a people manager strongly preferred
Public Accounting or Public Company (SOX 404) experience a plus
Experience in the value-based care or SaaS industry a plus
