This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations in the transport industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with the ability to manage complex tasks and collaborate effectively with various departments.
Job Responsibility:
Excel HEAVY – heavy in VHX Lookups, editing Macros
Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls
Perform detailed analysis of revenue, expenses, and wages to support financial decision-making
Assist in the preparation and posting of month-end journal entries
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare detailed reconciliations
Support accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash applications, and AR reconciliations
Collaborate with team members to gather data and produce accurate financial reports
Analyze financial records to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
Aid in the development and preparation of annual budgets
Work closely with field terminal staff, operations personnel, and the finance team to ensure seamless data integration
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Proficiency in key accounting functions, including general ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate financial insights clearly
