Job Description:

This role involves overseeing critical accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and designing robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage teams, streamline processes, and deliver accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and cash management functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Coordinate and manage the month-end close process, including preparation and analysis of financial statements
Perform reconciliations and analyses of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
Develop, implement, and monitor accounting systems and internal controls to safeguard company assets
Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and other relevant financial requirements
Supervise internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Provide management with ad-hoc financial reports and support special finance projects
Lead and develop the accounting team through effective delegation, performance evaluations, and ongoing training
Manage departmental budgets and staffing levels in alignment with business needs
Foster a cooperative and communicative environment across departments to support organizational goals

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement audits
Strong skills in account reconciliation, journal entries, and handling accounts payable/receivable
Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain internal control systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities under time-sensitive conditions
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with integrity
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
Familiarity with working in dynamic and occasionally fast-paced environments
