The primary responsibility of the Accounting Manager is to lead and oversee the accounting team, ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, comprehensive financial reporting, and adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

Manages the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation
Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports
Ensures reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles
Lead and oversee monthly closing activities and financial reporting
Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Coordinates with outside auditors for annual external audit
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Proven experience in accounting management or supervisory roles
Proficiency in accounting software systems including BlackLine, Concur, and ERP platforms
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions
Familiarity with payroll systems, preferably ADP
Demonstrated ability to conduct audits and ensure financial compliance
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies
Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate across departments
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
