Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger activities and financial consolidations within our organization. This role is 100% remote with headquarters in the Bay Area. We require someone with keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting processes and compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial reports, streamline month-end closing procedures, and support audits.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle operational tasks for acquired entities, including bank reconciliations, consolidations, contingent consideration, lease accounting, ongoing entries, and payable tracking
  • Conduct finance diligence for new acquisitions
  • Partner with auditors and valuation teams on M& A accounting, including asset/liability valuation and goodwill
  • Support integration of acquired entities into financial systems with SOX compliance
  • Assist technical accounting consultants with memos for complex transactions
  • Prepare internal management reports and support ad‑hoc projects
  • Assist with SEC reporting and disclosures (10‑Q/10‑K, 8‑K, pro formas)
  • Perform additional accounting duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a public company
  • Big 4 experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 805, and ASC 842
  • Strong analytical, research, technical writing, and advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in financial reporting systems
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment

  • Prepare audit support schedules, year-end accruals, tax-related filings and reporting, including 1099 processing and applicable sales tax submissions
  • Supervise the Accounting Assistant by reviewing work quality, approving completed tasks, and providing direction on daily accounting priorities
