Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join one of our clients on an interim basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage critical accounting functions, oversee financial processes, and lead a dedicated team of professionals. The position is hybrid, requiring two on-site workdays per week, and involves working within an Oracle-based environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the monthly close process, including managing the close calendar, reviewing journal entries, and ensuring timely reconciliations
Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering collaboration and efficiency
Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and public company requirements
Utilize Oracle systems to generate reports, analyze data, and enhance accounting workflows
Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and documentation
Support financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries
Oversee account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
Monitor and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Develop and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial matters
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller within a public company environment
Strong proficiency in Oracle systems, with experience in Oracle Fusion as a plus
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop small teams effectively
Solid knowledge of general ledger activities and financial statement audits
Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry management
Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
