We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with expertise in residential real estate and property management.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Oversee general ledger activities, maintaining the integrity of financial data
Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions
Prepare and review journal entries to support financial operations
Coordinate and assist with audits of financial statements to ensure compliance
Handle accounting operations related to homeowner associations (HOAs) and private residences
Monitor and manage intercompany transactions to maintain accurate records
Review financial data and reports related to residential real estate properties
Work closely with stakeholders to address accounting issues and provide insights
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation
Expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries
Familiarity with accounting practices for homeowner associations and private residences
Background in residential real estate or property management accounting
Proficiency in managing intercompany transactions
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external teams
