Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the greater Springfield, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to oversee critical financial operations and participate in an ERP conversion while ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial reporting, general ledger functions, and supporting system implementations.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end ERP conversion for the finance department
  • Oversee general ledger migration and system integration
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and external vendors to ensure a seamless transition
  • Develop and implement internal controls and process improvements
  • Manage data migration, testing, and staff training
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and reporting requirements
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality
  • Support data migration efforts by reviewing and validating financial data
  • Collaborate on implementation projects to enhance financial systems and processes
  • Maintain a strong focus on financial transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounting management, including general ledger oversight and month-end close processes
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory compliance within the banking or credit union sector
  • Hands-on experience with data migration and system implementation projects
  • Proficiency in UAT testing and validating financial system functionality
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
