Job Description

Oversee the full finance and accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. Manage and review AIA billing processes, ensuring accurate application billing, lien waiver support, and timely customer invoicing. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and provide leadership with meaningful analysis on company performance, job profitability, and cash flow. Partner with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project costs, budgets, work-in-progress schedules, and contract performance. Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and support external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements. Lead cash management, forecasting, and budgeting efforts while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and support business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, leadership responsibility in construction or project-based environments ideal
  • Experience overseeing both day-to-day accounting operations and higher-level financial planning, analysis, and reporting
  • Knowledge of job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, retainage, and work-in-progress reporting
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with finance and operations teams
