Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance the financial operations of a well-established organization in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role involves managing key accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving process improvements to optimize efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise general ledger activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory management
  • Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and analyze profit and loss variances against budgets and historical trends
  • Provide guidance and development opportunities for accounting team members with varying skill levels
  • Oversee the warehouse accounting processes, from purchase orders to payments and billback receipts
  • Support the budgeting process by preparing historical data and identifying future trends for strategic planning
  • Generate analytical reports across departments to aid leadership in data-driven decision-making
  • Establish and refine internal controls and workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce risks
  • Manage tax-related responsibilities, including property taxes, sales and use taxes, and 1099 preparation
  • Coordinate and assist with annual financial audits by assigning tasks and preparing necessary documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Extensive experience with general ledger accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial statement preparation and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in tax-related matters, including federal and multistate taxes, sales tax, and 1099 preparation
  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor accounting teams to achieve departmental goals
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes, including historical trend analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of internal controls and process improvement strategies
  • Experience supporting financial audits and preparing required documentation
