We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing critical accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial operations. Your contributions will enable the leadership team to focus on larger strategic initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reports
Manage and approve journal entries, maintaining compliance with accounting standards
Conduct thorough reviews of account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and insights
Maintain and monitor the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting workflows
Support the Director of Accounting by handling day-to-day financial operations
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies in all accounting activities
Provide detailed financial analysis to assist in decision-making processes
Train and guide team members on best practices in accounting and reconciliation tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing month-end close processes
Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and financial reporting
Expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries
Familiarity with account reconciliation processes and resolving discrepancies
Experience supporting financial statement audits with external auditors
Proficiency in identifying and implementing accounting process improvements
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
