Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in corporate accounting, fixed assets, and cash accounting, as well as experience managing intercompany transactions. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in streamlining financial processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all entries
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and depreciation calculations
  • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper classification and documentation
  • Conduct financial statement audits, collaborating with internal teams and external auditors
  • Reconcile accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Handle intercompany transactions and ensure proper balancing across entities
  • Utilize SAP S/4HANA for accounting tasks and process efficiency
  • Monitor and manage cash accounting activities, maintaining proper controls
  • Provide guidance and support for continuous improvement in accounting processes

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role
  • Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and tracking
  • Expertise in preparing journal entries with accurate classification
  • Familiarity with intercompany transactions and balancing
  • Advanced skills in SAP S/4HANA for financial operations
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring compliance and accuracy in accounting practices
