To support this ambition, we’re looking for an Accounting Manager who combines strategic financial expertise with an AI-driven mindset. You will lead the accounting department, ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial statements and optimise processes. You’ll partner with leadership (Finance Director, Executive Team, Department Heads), manage two talented accountants, and support strategic decision-making across the organization
Job Responsibility:
Lead a team of two accountants
Foster a high-performance culture based on ownership, continuous improvement, and accountability
Support team development through coaching, regular feedback, and career progression planning
Oversee monthly closings (WD+4), quarterly, and annual closings: prepare financial statements and perform analytical reviews with Pennylane
Conduct a complete overhaul of accounting records with justification of balances, reconciliation of tax liabilities
Drive continuous improvement of revenue recognition (RevRec) processes in line with SaaS best practices, ensuring accuracy of data flows in our billing system
Supervise payroll accounting entries and ensure accuracy of payroll journals and provisions (vacation pay, social charges, etc.)
Supervise all French tax filings (VAT CA3, CFE, CVAE, DAS2) and coordinate with local accounting firm in Germany and future potential local entities
Act as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, legal and accounting partners
Design and implement key procedures: closing checklist, intercompany agreements, AP policy, and R&D tax credit (CII/CIR) processes
Automate and improve cash management (in/outflows, cash flow monitoring) using tools like Agicap and Spendesk
Requirements:
6–7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally in a SaaS or tech scale-up environment
Proven leadership experience managing teams
Strong understanding of French GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition principles
Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to connect financial insights with strategic decisions
A team player with a builder’s mindset, excited to own, improve, and scale Accounting in a transforming business
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both French and English
