We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for a detail oriented individual who excels in managing financial operations and leading teams. The role involves overseeing key accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and fostering collaboration among team members.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks
Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded
Lead financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with auditors
Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Utilize NetSuite effectively for various accounting functions and reporting
Supervise and guide a small team, providing mentorship and supporting detail oriented development
Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to leadership
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting activities
Requirements:
Proven experience in an accounting management role, preferably overseeing teams
Strong expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting
Familiarity with financial statement audits and account reconciliation processes
Proficient in preparing journal entries and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Advanced knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting software
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification preferred
