We are looking to add an Accounting Manager to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. This role will oversee core accounting activities with a strong emphasis on receivables, billing accuracy, and day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting experience, sound judgment, and the ability to strengthen processes while improving visibility across the function. Job Responsibility
Oversee accounts receivable activities, including reviewing balances, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting accurate cash application
Manage customer billing tasks by preparing invoices, processing refunds, and addressing account issues in a timely manner
Compare daily collection records against receipts to confirm completeness and resolve variances promptly
Monitor billing outcomes to identify undercharges or overcharges and take corrective action to maintain accuracy
Create and refine accounting procedures that promote consistency, efficiency, and stronger internal controls
Use QuickBooks Online to maintain financial records, support reporting, and assist with routine accounting operations
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve how financial data moves between systems and reduce manual inefficiencies
Work closely with the accounting team to enhance organization, clarify processes, and increase transparency within the department
Requirements
5+ years of accounting experience, including experience in a lead or supervisory capacity
Strong background in month-end close activities, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation
Demonstrated experience performing account reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies
Familiarity with financial statement audit support and maintaining accurate supporting documentation
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and confidence working within accounting systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment
