Job Description:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a 4-month project engagement with a construction organization located in the Denver Tech Center. This role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, lead a small team, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting using Microsoft Dynamics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and job costing
  • Lead and mentor a team of two accounting professionals
  • Oversee month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement review
  • Ensure accurate job cost accounting and percentage-of-completion reporting
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics for transaction management and reporting
  • Partner with project managers and operations to support financial visibility and cost control
  • Support audits and provide requested financial documentation
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting workflows

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior Accounting Manager or Supervisor experience required
  • Construction industry experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics experience required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and job cost accounting
  • Proven experience leading and developing small teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
