Job Description:

This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both immediate operational needs and long-term strategic financial oversight. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, providing leadership and expertise to stabilize processes and drive sustainable improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Address and resolve vendor record backlog issues within the first 30-45 days
Analyze large inventory datasets, including serial numbers and master receipts, to identify and correct reconciliation discrepancies
Perform advanced data analytics using Excel, leveraging tools like index matching and collaborating with data analysts to generate actionable insights
Manage complex inventory reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Evaluate and improve existing systems and processes to establish long-term operational stability
Provide strategic direction and insights for accounting, supply chain, and procurement functions under operational strain
Collaborate with leadership to navigate challenges in a fast-paced, evolving organizational structure
Develop impactful reporting tools using available data analytics resources to drive business decisions
Support both accounting and procurement functions, exceeding traditional role boundaries as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management
Expertise in financial statement audits and account reconciliations
Proficiency in creating and managing journal entries
Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion and familiarity with Workday ERP systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
Ability to balance detailed operational tasks with strategic financial oversight
Strong problem-solving skills to address complex inventory and reconciliation challenges
Capacity to adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide peer-level leadership
