This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional interested in international collaboration. You will manage the day-to-day accounting functions for the Japan entity, including cash flow, vendor payments, accounts receivable, and month-end close, while interacting frequently with APAC finance colleagues.
Job Responsibility:
Post daily cash movements and monitor cash flow, reporting to the HK treasury team
Process all invoices and execute timely vendor wire transfers
Apply cash to outstanding accounts receivable and manage accrued customer rebates
Handle accounting for travel expenses and payroll reimbursements
Support tax professionals with VAT and corporate tax filings
Act as a point of contact for internal/external auditors and tax authorities
Manage GL postings and oversee month-end/year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with the Sr. FP&A manager, providing necessary accounting information
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of accounting experience within an English-speaking business environment
Fluency in both spoken and written English and Japanese
Knowledge of IFRS, JGAAP, and local tax regulations
Experience with internationally used ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) is advantageous
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
