Accounting Manager

• Supervise the daily activities of the accounting team, including period-end closings, accounts receivable management, and medical claims accounting
• Review and analyze financial data to prepare accurate reports and statements
• Develop, implement, and uphold accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective measures
• Assign tasks and manage team performance to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Drive achievement of financial accounting goals and objectives
• Maintain organized fiscal records to document all transactions effectively
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear communication
• Perform additional duties as required to support the department's success

• Proven experience in managing accounting operations and supervising teams
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent ability to improve systems and implement corrective actions
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining fiscal records and documentation
• Effective communication skills to foster relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Familiarity with healthcare or social assistance industry accounting practices
