Job Description:

Our client, a growing public BioTech company in Marlborough, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, NetSuite expertise, and public company experience to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Support preparation of internal and external financial statements and related disclosures
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to support business initiatives
  • Assist with audit coordination and ensure compliance with public company reporting requirements
  • Drive process improvements and help optimize workflows within NetSuite
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities
  • Prior experience working in a publicly traded company environment is required
  • Strong experience with NetSuite is required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • BioTech, life sciences, or healthcare industry experience is preferred
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
