Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support a long-term contract opportunity at a PE backed client. This role is ideal for a finance specialist with a strong background in services environments and hands-on expertise with Sage Intacct. The selected consultant will lead core accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure timely and reliable reporting across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the month-end close process to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Manage general ledger activity, including review and approval of journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial data
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support leadership decision-making and operational planning
  • Coordinate audit readiness efforts by organizing schedules, documentation, and responses for financial statement audits
  • Apply accounting knowledge within a private equity-backed or related business environment to support reporting expectations
  • Utilize Sage Intacct to manage accounting workflows, reporting, and system-based financial controls
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve accounting processes and strengthen overall financial operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience serving in an Accounting Manager or similar senior accounting capacity
  • Strong command of month-end close procedures, general ledger oversight, and journal entry review
  • Demonstrated ability to complete account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience supporting or leading financial statement audit activities
  • Background working in private equity-backed organizations or comparable fast-paced business settings
  • Hands-on proficiency with Sage Intacct in an accounting environment that requires attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills to manage priorities effectively
