We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in a dynamic hospitality and gaming environment. You will lead a team of professionals, manage compliance efforts, and drive process improvements to support strategic business objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling to foster a high-performing and engaged department
Supervise the general ledger operations, ensuring timely and accurate posting of financial transactions in compliance with company policies and standards
Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules to maintain consistency and internal control compliance
Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to meet deadlines and reporting requirements
Develop and implement process improvements to optimize accounting operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and ensure readiness for audits
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain comprehensive documentation
Collaborate with various departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis initiatives
Ensure payroll operations are accurate, timely, and comply with company policies and regulatory standards
Maintain compliance with gaming laws, internal controls, and federal regulations, including Title 31
Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company's guest service culture
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
experience in the hospitality or gaming industry is preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting requirements, and GAAP accounting principles
Proven success in managing month-end close processes, financial reconciliations, and audit engagements
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to influence and develop team members and cross-functional collaborations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
experience with Workday or similar platforms is advantageous
Analytical mindset with a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
CPA certification or eligibility is preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary work cards and verify right to work in the United States
