Job Description:

Our client, a rapidly scaling, mission-driven consumer brand is redefining the functional beverage space across hydration, energy, and protein. With national retail distribution, a thriving e-commerce presence, and ambitious growth plans, the company is building the foundation for a category-defining business. They are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to play a critical, ground-floor role in building and scaling the accounting function. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape financial infrastructure, partner directly with executive leadership, and establish the processes that will support a high-growth, multi-channel CPG business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and accelerate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and audit-ready financials
  • Manage all core accounting operations including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation by channel and product line
  • Lead accounting for complex CPG areas such as trade spend, contra-revenue, inventory, freight, and gross-to-net revenue analysis
  • Build and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and ensure GAAP compliance across revenue recognition, inventory, and fulfillment
  • Oversee AP/AR cycles, including vendor payments, customer deductions, trade spend reconciliation, and cash/working capital management
  • Own and optimize financial systems (NetSuite, Ramp, Bill.com), ensuring data integrity across all integrated platforms
  • Drive automation and AI adoption across accounting workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and accelerate close timelines
  • Produce financial reporting, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis while partnering cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a background in CPG
  • Strong foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm experience highly preferred)
  • Deep expertise in NetSuite as both a user and administrator
  • Experience leveraging AI tools in accounting workflows or willingness to adopt emerging technologies
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
