Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Boardman, Ohio, on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations, manage transactional workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a results-driven environment and enjoys implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise key accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and surplus lines tax filing
Oversee and ensure the timely completion of month-end close activities
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement system optimizations to streamline workflows
Monitor and maintain accounting systems while providing operational insights
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals to foster growth and high performance
Ensure adherence to tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reporting accuracy and financial operations
Develop and implement consistent controls and procedures to maintain operational integrity
Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
Support audits by facilitating financial statement reviews and ensuring all documentation is accurate

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in transactional accounting operations
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting systems such as Workday or QuickBooks
Familiarity with analytical tools like Power BI to visualize and analyze data
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage change effectively
Proven track record in implementing process improvements and optimizing workflows
Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
