We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager for a stable and work/life balance company in San Mateo. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the monthly accounting and functions for a private management company and will work closely with the CFO and management of the respective entities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage monthly accounting cycle on a timely and accurate basis: Responsible for AP, AR, Payroll, GL, Month-end close
Monthly financial statement preparation
Monthly bank account reconciliation
Annual 1099 preparation
Manage company credit cards
Manage employee benefit programs
Manage business and liability insurance
Special projects as needed by CFO
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, demonstrating expertise in financial management
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in QuickBooks
Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and documentation
Familiarity with family office operations and related accounting practices
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
