Job Description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support key financial operations for a Contract position based in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. This role will lead core accounting activities, help maintain accurate reporting, and ensure close-cycle deliverables are completed on time. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in general ledger management, reconciliations, audit support, and period-end accounting processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee monthly close activities to ensure financial records are completed accurately and within established deadlines
  • Manage general ledger operations, including review of balances, accounting activity, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial reporting across accounting periods
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Support financial statement audit activities by organizing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and validating underlying data
  • Monitor accounting processes and recommend improvements that strengthen accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and ensure reporting requirements are met

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting management or a similar senior-level accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger oversight
  • Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and balance sheet review
  • Familiarity with financial statement audits and audit support documentation
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
