Our expanding client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Brentwood, Tennessee. This is a contract position with an initial duration of six months, offering the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. The role requires a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on revenue assurance and compliance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee revenue recognition and assurance accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Manage contract information flow to properly record revenue across multiple legal entities and markets, addressing sales tax and filing requirements in collaboration with Legal and Tax teams
Coordinate with Operations teams to establish billing processes that meet high standards of attention to detail and accuracy
Ensure adherence to global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a robust control environment
Analyze revenue and monitor delinquency collections to optimize financial outcomes while identifying and correcting reporting errors
Support Finance and IT transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Provide clear direction and set expectations for the Revenue Assurance Accounting Team to achieve organizational objectives
Mentor and manage team members effectively, fostering growth and development with a focus on attention to detail
Develop and implement business continuity plans, risk management strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives for Finance Operations
Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, undertaking ad hoc tasks as needed to drive efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
A minimum of 8 years of related finance or accounting experience, including supervisory roles
At least 5 years of experience in high-volume transactions within large or complex public organizations
Prior experience with a Big 4 Accounting firm is preferred
Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance standards
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly D365
Expertise in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations
Familiarity with intercompany transactions and financial statement audits
