Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support one of our clients in the healthcare industry. This role requires a dedicated individual with strong attention to detail to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency in accounting processes. This is a long-term contract position offering stability and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the month-end accounting close process, ensuring timely completion of sub-ledger and functional module closures while addressing any exceptions
  • Lead monthly close meetings and review high-risk account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor and evaluate core finance operations to identify opportunities for improved workflows, enhanced controls, and strengthened documentation
  • Provide guidance to staff on handling complex and non-routine financial reporting transactions
  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to optimize departmental efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the Controller to review financial statements, footnote disclosures, and tax filings
  • Coordinate and lead the financial audit process, liaising between internal teams, external auditors, and management
  • Drive key customer care, financial, and operational outcomes aligned with the annual work plan
  • Support team development by recruiting, engaging, and retaining talent while ensuring optimal labor productivity
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align on goals and operational priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
  • a Master’s degree in business or accounting is preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in accounting and financial operations, including at least three years in a managerial role
  • Five years of experience in public accounting is preferred
  • Proven track record of working within the healthcare industry for at least five years
  • Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and journal entry procedures
  • Familiarity with financial statement audits and related compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders
