We are looking for a hands-on leader to oversee a team of accountants, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting and tax compliance services. If you have a background in outsourced accounting and are looking to step into a leadership role that blends technical review with team mentorship, this opportunity is for you. As an Assistant Manager or Manager, you will act as the technical lead for your engagement team. You will move beyond transactional processing to focus on high-level review, consolidation, and client advisory. You will ensure that your team delivers full sets of accounts and statutory compliance on time, while also playing a key role in their professional development.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions for a portfolio of clients
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to ensure strict adherence to timelines
Review bookkeeping records, consolidation reporting packages, and management reports prepared by your team to ensure accuracy and compliance with MFRS/MPERS
Oversee all tax compliance matters, including the review of Sales and Services Tax (SST), Withholding Tax (WHT), corporate tax computations, and deferred tax calculations
Serve as the main point of contact for external parties
Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to finalize financial statements and annual statutory returns
Act as a mentor to your subordinates
Manage workflows, review work quality, provide technical guidance, and conduct performance reviews to foster a high-performing culture
Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives to drive firm growth
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting
Prior experience in an outsourced accounting or professional services environment is highly preferred
Proven track record of leading teams or managing subordinates is essential
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
Professional qualifications (ACCA, MIA, CPA, or equivalent) are mandatory
Hands-on experience preparing full sets of accounts under MFRS / MPERS
Strong command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SQL, Xero, MultiBook, or SAP
Excellent communication skills in English
