This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while utilizing your expertise in QuickBooks and construction accounting. In this role, you will oversee and manage the financial operations of multiple construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of invoices, payments, and reimbursements
Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly financial statements to maintain accurate records
Manage job costing processes, tracking budgets, expenses, and profitability for all active construction projects
Prepare and submit pay applications, review invoices, and ensure proper documentation for billing and payment processing
Administer lien waivers, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements while maintaining detailed records
Coordinate project closeouts by reconciling job costs and preparing final financial reports
Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records, generate reports, and support payroll processing
Collaborate with project managers and department heads to ensure seamless financial operations across all projects
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
Support payroll processing, including tracking employee time and labor costs tied to specific projects
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial record maintenance and reporting
Strong understanding of construction accounting practices, including job costing and AIA billing
Demonstrated ability to manage month-end closings, general ledger functions, and financial statement preparation
Experience with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with lien waiver management and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
