Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance our financial reporting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls. This role involves managing the month-end close process, performing financial analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, this is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial transparency and operational success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and submitted on time
  • Perform and oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments, as part of the financial close process
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Conduct variance analyses to compare actual results to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial governance standards, following the Delegation of Authority framework
  • Organize and maintain audit-ready documentation to support internal and external audit processes
  • Collaborate with Operations and Department Leaders to ensure financial data aligns with organizational objectives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within financial reporting and accounting functions
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance frameworks
  • Proven track record of managing month-end close processes and preparing financial statements
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems such as Acumatica
  • Excellent analytical abilities to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams
