Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role involves overseeing critical accounting functions, including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and managing intercompany transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory flow processes within a manufacturing environment and a proven ability to deliver accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead month-end general ledger close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Investigate and resolve variances in financial accounts to maintain compliance and accuracy
  • Prepare and post complex journal entries, including adjustments and accruals
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of inventory accounts and intercompany accounts
  • Review trial balances to identify discrepancies and ensure completeness
  • Manage intercompany transactions and eliminations to streamline consolidated reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and systems
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting tasks
  • Work with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA and Epicor to maintain and update accounting records
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial operations and inventory management

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on month-end close processes
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general ledger management
  • Expertise in preparing and posting journal entries, including complex adjustments
