Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and manage key financial operations for our organization near Joliet, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll management. This role requires advanced knowledge of financial reporting, audit preparation, and the ability to work independently to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Job Responsibility

  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accuracy of data
  • Full Month End close
  • Develop and maintain fixed asset records and ensure proper depreciation schedules are followed
  • Coordinate audit preparation activities, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements
  • Oversee purchasing functions, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to budgetary guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial statement preparation
  • Experience with audit preparation and working with external auditors
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and financial models
  • Familiarity with D365 or similar financial systems is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a stand-alone role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
