We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while managing and developing accounting staff. This opportunity allows you to contribute to process improvements and play a vital role in financial reporting and audit management.
Job Responsibility:
Manage financial accounting functions, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, and property taxes
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and related tasks completed by accounting team members
Coordinate the preparation of external financial reports, including non-financial statement content for various organizational reports
Provide leadership to accounting staff by setting goals, offering guidance, and encouraging careful attention to detail in their development
Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and implementing standardization and automation initiatives
Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and proper documentation of reviews
Research and resolve technical accounting and financial reporting issues, documenting conclusions as needed
Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting Manager to manage external audits and ensure prompt resolution of any issues
Work alongside the Corporate Controls Manager to establish and maintain effective internal controls for financial operations
Assist in managing intercompany transactions, ensuring timely reconciliation and compliance
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory roles
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and technical accounting principles
Experience with account reconciliations and journal entry processes
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a detail-oriented environment
Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments
