We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Port Washington, New York. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting, compliance, and analysis. Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare comprehensive accounting reports with appropriate documentation
  • Conduct detailed monthly account analyses
  • Examine financial data and provide summaries of the organization’s financial health
  • Recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency and optimize expenditures
  • Collaborate on financial forecasting and standards-setting processes

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management
  • Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and maintaining general ledger accuracy
  • Expertise in conducting financial statement audits and preparing supporting documentation
  • Strong skills in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation
  • Ability to analyze financial data and propose actionable insights
  • Familiarity with tax filing requirements, including state, sales, and use taxes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
