Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial processes and ensure the accuracy of all accounting operations. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail to manage month-end closings, general ledger activities, and financial audits effectively. The position is based in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and manage month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure all entries are in compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and analyze financial statements to support audits and organizational decision-making
Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly
Supervise bookkeeping operations to ensure records are precise and up to date
Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees
Oversee the preparation and filing of income tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits to provide necessary documentation and insights
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting management or a similar supervisory role
Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial statements, and month-end closing processes
Proficiency in bookkeeping, payroll management, and income tax return preparation
Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software and other financial tools
Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
