We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support day-to-day business operations for a construction contractor based in Ohio, Ohio. This position combines financial leadership with cross-functional coordination across office administration, production activity, warehouse operations, and internal support functions. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, hands-on accounting knowledge, and the ability to keep multiple operational priorities moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Direct accounting activities including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and financial record accuracy
Monitor cash position and develop short-term cash flow projections to support operational planning
Oversee office operations and help maintain organized administrative processes across departments
Partner with production and warehouse teams to improve coordination, scheduling, and day-to-day workflow execution
Support human resources administration, including routine personnel documentation and related processes
Coordinate with internal and external IT resources to address system, equipment, and user support needs
Lead or contribute to sales and production meetings by preparing updates, tracking follow-up items, and aligning priorities
Review financial reporting and assist with audit preparation, account analysis, and management-level decision support
Manage special projects and operational improvement initiatives as business needs evolve
Requirements:
At least 5 years of management experience in business operations, accounting, or a related leadership role
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience
Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Google-based tools
Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and cash flow management
Ability to oversee multiple functional areas, including office administration, HR support, IT coordination, and warehouse or production activities
Experience preparing financial information, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate operational and accounting records
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across teams effectively
