Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Painesville, Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic financial guidance to our leadership.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements in line with GAAP
Manage the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
Develop and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets
Conduct periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
Coordinate external audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
Assist in the development of annual operating budgets and long-term financial forecasts
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis to management
Collaborate with the internal tax team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
Previous experience in Auditing
Familiarity with SAP and its implementation
Experience in big 4 Public Accounting
Demonstrated skills in Financial Reporting
Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting
Knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley
Proven experience in Internal Control
Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting
