We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and guide our bookkeeping team in Hillsboro, Oregon. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while fostering collaboration across departments such as IT, Sales, and Operations. The ideal candidate will be committed to aligning financial operations with the company's mission and vision, while developing efficient and engaged teams.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the bookkeeping team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
Develop and implement standardized procedures and policies to safeguard financial assets and maintain data integrity
Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering accountability and growth through KPIs and regular feedback
Collaborate with department managers across the company to address financial implications and support business initiatives
Oversee training and onboarding processes for new bookkeepers, ensuring seamless integration into the team
Maintain and support internal controls by documenting and updating standard operating procedures
Partner with IT analysts to test and implement financial systems and resolve technical challenges
Facilitate vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate payments, promoting a service-first attitude
Participate in month-end and year-end close procedures, as well as annual audit processes
Serve as a resource for managers and teams by addressing financial concerns and providing guidance on complex issues
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Epicor and Concur
Expertise in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing functions
Experience with accrual accounting and revenue recognition processes
Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to support business operations
Knowledge of internal controls and auditing practices
