Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join a team in Hardeeville, South Carolina in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting specialist who can oversee core financial activities, maintain accurate records, and support timely reporting across the organization. The position will play a key role in strengthening daily accounting operations while providing insight through financial analysis and reporting tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are recorded accurately
  • Oversee general ledger activity and review transactions to maintain complete and reliable accounting records
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and proper account classification
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinate audit support activities by organizing financial documentation and responding to requests related to financial statement reviews
  • Manage accounting processes within QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online, ensuring data integrity and consistent reporting practices
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide visibility into business performance
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and overall financial controls

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or similar leadership-level accounting role
  • Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation
  • Experience completing account reconciliations and supporting financial statement audit activities
  • Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online in an accounting environment with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to create, interpret, or support reporting through Power BI or Microsoft Power BI
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting best practices
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
