We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist to join a growing bookkeeping and tax practice in Rogers, Arkansas on a Contract to Permanent basis. This on-site role is well suited for someone who wants to combine strong technical accounting knowledge with operational leadership in a collaborative office environment. The position offers the opportunity to oversee core accounting and tax activities, strengthen team coordination, and contribute to a high standard of client service while expanding long-term responsibility within the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily activity across bookkeeping and tax engagements to maintain steady progress, quality standards, and timely delivery
Examine financial reports, bookkeeping records, and tax filings to confirm accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable regulations and accounting standards
Coordinate team priorities and workload distribution so deadlines are met efficiently during both peak and non-peak periods
Drive improvements in data workflows and internal processes to increase productivity, reduce rework, and support consistent execution
Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month-end close tasks to ensure reliable financial reporting
Support client relationships through clear, effective communication and responsive follow-up on accounting and tax-related matters
Partner with leadership to strengthen operational practices, reinforce accountability, and expand the effectiveness of the firm’s service model
Contribute hands-on expertise in full-charge bookkeeping, tax preparation, and audit-ready financial organization across multiple client accounts
Requirements:
Active CPA license is required
2+ years of accounting experience, including work performed after certification, is preferred
Demonstrated background in tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and GAAP-based accounting practices
Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliation
Ability to manage multiple client needs and internal deadlines with strong organization and attention to detail
Effective communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients, leadership, and cross-functional team members
Experience reviewing financial records for accuracy and supporting audit or compliance-related requirements
Comfortable working on-site in Rogers, Arkansas and adapting to seasonal workload fluctuations
