We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to provide part-time accounting support for two entities. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the Founder to ensure the smooth execution of accounting operations, financial processes, and ad-hoc projects. This is a long-term contract opportunity based in New York, New York, ideal for professionals skilled in QuickBooks and Excel.
Job Responsibility:
Manage daily accounting operations, including invoicing, billing, and financial recordkeeping
Collaborate with the Founder to establish and maintain accurate financial processes
Utilize QuickBooks for comprehensive accounting tasks and reporting
Maintain and update the chart of accounts to ensure accurate financial data
Prepare and analyze financial reports to support informed business decisions
Ensure timely entry of invoices and related transactions
Oversee reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
Support ad-hoc financial projects and provide actionable recommendations
Optimize processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows
Provide expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounting tasks
Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
Solid understanding of billing, invoicing, and financial operations
Ability to maintain and update a chart of accounts effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities
Experience handling ad-hoc projects and delivering actionable insights
