We are looking for an experienced accounting leader to oversee complex financial operations for a growing, multi-entity organization in Chatsworth, California. This position plays a central role in maintaining accurate reporting, strengthening compliance, and improving accounting processes across multiple business structures. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in product-based and highly regulated environments, and the ability to guide both day-to-day execution and long-term financial improvements.
Job Responsibility
Direct the monthly and annual close cycle, ensuring timely completion of reconciliations, accruals, intercompany activity, and financial reporting deliverables
Manage consolidated reporting across multiple entities, including partnership and subsidiary structures, while coordinating ownership changes and elimination entries
Oversee accounting activities related to multi-state partnerships and LLCs, including capital account tracking, equity rollforwards, partner distributions, and supporting schedules for tax reporting
Apply technical accounting guidance to revenue recognition, lease accounting, inventory valuation, cost accounting, and other complex reporting matters
Supervise inventory and product-related accounting processes, including standard costing, usage analysis, shrink review, and compliance-focused recordkeeping
Partner with operations, procurement, legal, tax, and executive leadership to align financial reporting with business activity and strategic priorities
Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation to improve consistency, reduce risk, and support a scalable finance function
Lead audit preparation for external, internal, and tax reviews by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and maintaining reporting accuracy
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize Acumatica and related accounting workflows through automation, improved data integrity, and more efficient reporting structures
Coach and develop accounting team members, establish clear procedures, and promote accountability across daily operations and long-term deliverables
Requirements
Demonstrated experience leading month-end close, general ledger management, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
Strong background in multi-entity accounting, including consolidations, intercompany transactions, and partnership or LLC structures
Knowledge of technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, inventory accounting, and cost accounting
Experience working in product-driven industries such as food, beverage, tobacco, or other regulated environments with complex compliance requirements
Proficiency with Acumatica is required, along with the ability to improve accounting systems and reporting processes
Familiarity with audit support, internal controls, and preparation of schedules for financial, tax, and regulatory review
Ability to work effectively across departments and provide clear financial guidance to leadership in a fast-paced business environment
