Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager - Payroll and AP to join our team in Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in governmental accounting, payroll, and financial management. The successful candidate will oversee key financial operations and provide leadership to the accounting team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and supervise payroll functions, accounts payable processes, and financial reporting activities
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
  • Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial data
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and practices
  • Coordinate annual audit preparation and facilitate financial statement audits
  • Develop and manage budgets, providing detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Finance to optimize accounting procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in governmental accounting, payroll, and financial management

  • Familiarity with full-cycle payroll operations and compliance
