Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Accounting Leader to lead accounting operations for a multi-entity organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, audit coordination, compliance, internal controls, and team development. The Accounting Leader serves as a key business partner to operational leadership and executive management, ensuring accurate financial information and strong fiscal stewardship.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance
  • Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual analysis
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Review key financial transactions and strengthen internal controls
  • Prepare and present financial reports to leadership and stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Active CPA license required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes
  • Experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential financial information
